Prairieland Park in Saskatoon was filled with the sounds of delighted children at this past weekend’s Family Expo. From stage shows to meet’n’greet characters, to vendors who dazzled the senses – there was truly something for everyone. Right in the middle of it all was Safe Saskatchewan’s Rebecca Trail. Five Safe Saskatchewan partners stepped up in a big way and each partner ran their own Rebecca Trail Safety Station. A huge thank you goes out to: St. John’s Ambulance, Sherritt Coal, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour, SGI, and WorkSafe Saskatchewan. We couldn’t have done it without you – or taught approximately 500 children and their parents the many valuable lessons of being injury-aware. With the new Mission: Zero Live injury-free. brand released, the Family Expo was the first opportunity for Safe Saskatchewan to promote the new movement. “I’d like to thank the Family Expo staff for working so closely with Safe Saskatchewan, and helping our message of injury prevention to be heard,” comments Gord Moker, Chief Executive Officer of Safe Saskatchewan. “I’d also like to thank our partners for supporting Safe Saskatchewan through their participation in the Rebecca Trail.” Congratulations to Teaira, Nadine and Brianna – winners of the iPod shuffle draws.
