Sooooo excited…
I’m so excited for this summer. It’s nearly here and then the fun will really start. Curtis, my dad and I will go to Rider games, my teacher will do all sorts of crazy science experiments before the end of school (if we are good) and now I can start getting ready for our family’s summer camping trip!! I can hardly wait to try out my new Harry Potter sleeping bag. My friend Trish got one too because she’s going to come camping for the first time with us this summer.
My legs are so tired from Trish and I playing roller hockey in the park. I scored four goals. Normally we pretend that we’re actually Quidditch players at Hogwarts. I almost forgot to take my helmet before I left so I had to listen to one of Dad’s lectures. He gets so mad when I “don’t think”. I can’t help it! Besides, he never wears a helmet when he goes biking… so what’s the big deal if I forget once or twice? Trish and I always have so much fun together, except when Shannon wants to play. She can’t blade well and Mom still makes us pass to her. What a drag.
Yesterday we had barbecued hamburgers and Oreo ice cream for dessert! Mom always makes that when it’s summer and even Crash likes it more because we’re always outside playing with him. (And Curtis usually sneaks him a hamburger!)

Okay, so back to the family summer camping trip. It is going to be great this year. Not only did Mom and Dad let me invite Trish, but Dad and I have been planning all the stuff we’re going to do. I’ve been going over the list for weeks just to make sure we don’t forget any of the equipment we’ll need. Dad is always working and we never get to do this much together so I’m really pumped. Trish is excited too. She’s never been camping and it’ll be even more fun because we’re going to be able to sleep in our own tent! I can’t wait to show her everything I know about camping.
